How text message consent works — both for messages a business sends its own customers through MyProspectPortal, and for account alerts we send you.
Effective date: August 12, 2026 • Last updated: September 5, 2026
MyProspectPortal supports two separate text-message programs. Adding a mobile number and opting in to either one is always optional, is never a condition of using MyProspectPortal or of contacting a business, and can be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP.
Program name. Business Text Messaging, powered by MyProspectPortal.
How you opt in. You opt in by entering your mobile number on a business's website contact form or chat widget and checking the unchecked SMS consent box next to it. The box names the business, states that consent is not a condition of purchase, and links to this page and to our Privacy Policy.
Program description. Businesses use MyProspectPortal to text their own leads and customers from their own registered business number. If you give a business your mobile number and check the SMS opt-in box on its website contact form or chat widget, that business may text you about the reason you reached out — for example appointment reminders and confirmations, quote and job-status updates, and replies to questions you asked. Messages come from that business, not from MyProspectPortal; MyProspectPortal (through Twilio, our messaging provider) only delivers them.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your conversation with the business.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier plan.
Opt out. Reply STOP to any message to stop all further texts from that business. You will get one confirmation message and then no more.
Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email support@myprospectportal.com.
Program name. MyProspectPortal Lead Alerts.
Program description. If you have a MyProspectPortal account and choose to add a mobile number and check the opt-in box, you will receive SMS alerts from MyProspectPortal each time your website chat widget captures a new lead, plus occasional service messages about your account.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your lead volume.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier plan.
Opt out. Reply STOP to any message to stop all further alerts. Reply HELP for assistance, or email support@myprospectportal.com.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy. Your mobile number and SMS consent are used only to send the messages described above. No mobile information — including your phone number and the fact that you opted in — is shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing, and it is never sold. It is shared only with the messaging provider (Twilio) that delivers the texts. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
