Removal Guide

Take the chatbot off your website.

Ending your plan or closing your account? Here's how to remove the chatbot cleanly, step by step for your website builder. And if you'd rather not touch your site, we'll do it for you.

1 line of code to delete About 2 minutes Nothing else on your site changes
Already cancelled? Your visitors don't see it anymore.

Once your plan ends (after its 7-day grace period) or your account is deleted, the chat bubble hides itself and stops collecting anything. Removing the code is the final tidy-up, so nothing is left behind on your site.

3 stepsRemove the chatbot

1

Find your chatbot code

When you installed the chatbot, you pasted one line of code into your website. It looks like this, with your own ID at the end:

The line to deleteYour ID will be different
<script src="https://myprospectportal.com/chatbot.js?client_id=…"></script>

Still signed in? Open your dashboard: Settings → Delete account, or Billing once your plan has ended, shows your exact line with a Copy button. Paste it into your builder's search (Ctrl+F, or Cmd+F on a Mac) to find it instantly.

2

Delete it from your website

It's in the same place you pasted it. Pick your website builder:

  1. In your WordPress admin, open the code plugin you used: Code Snippets (WPCode) or Settings → Insert Headers and Footers.
  2. If it's its own snippet, delete the whole snippet. If it's in the Footer box, delete just the chatbot.js line.
  3. Save. If you use a caching plugin (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, W3 Total Cache), clear its cache.

Delete only that one line. Nothing else on your website needs to change.

3

Publish and check it's gone

Open your website in a private or incognito window and look at the bottom corner. No chat bubble means you're done.

Troubleshooting

I can't find the code anywhere

Search every footer or custom code box in your builder for chatbot.js. If you use Google Tag Manager, open Tags, find the Custom HTML tag that contains it, delete the tag and Submit to publish. If someone else built your site, they may have put it somewhere else. Forward them this page, or ask us to remove it.

I deleted it but I still see the bubble

Make sure you saved and published. Then reload in a private window, since browsers keep an old copy of your site for a while. If you use a caching plugin or Cloudflare, clear its cache. It can take a few minutes to update everywhere.

Will removing it break anything on my site?

No. The chatbot is a single, self-contained line. Deleting it removes the chat bubble and nothing else.

What if I just leave the code there?

Once your plan has ended or your account is deleted, the bubble stays hidden and collects nothing. But the leftover line still loads a small file on every page, so we recommend removing it.

I put it on more than one website

Repeat these steps on each site. The code only needs to go from places where you added it.

What happens to my leads and data?

After a plan ends, we keep your account for 90 days in case you come back, then delete it. If you delete your account yourself, it's removed straight away. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
